Going from elementary school to middle school is a big milestone. It can bring new experiences, challenges, and opportunities. While the shift can initially feel overwhelming, it’s also an exciting time filled with growth and adventure. Over three mornings, incoming sixth graders will attend JFS to learn all about middle school.
With a new school come new expectations. Middle school means lockers, multiple classrooms and teachers, and a larger building. Prep Academy helps prepare students for these changes, encouraging time management and staying organized. They tour the building, find classes, learn where their lockers are, and how to open them.
Students also meet JFS Student Ambassadors who talk about being in the middle school, homework, clubs and co-curricular activities, and making new friends.
Prep Academy is designed to help sixth graders learn the ropes before the school year starts. When they enter the building on September 5, they will be stepping into a new world full of new opportunities in the next chapter of their education journey.
