Congratulations to Teagan McGuinness, who secured FIRST place in the Ireland National Wrestling Tournament in the junior females 71kg division!
The tournament runner offered Teagan to wrestle in the boys division and she bravely accepted.
Her mom, Sharon McGuinness, said, “So proud of her for jumping in and doing what she has been working on nearly every day for months and it ended in a win in her first match!
She wrestled 3 more matches against boys and managed to stay uninjured (my top priority…high school season is just about to start!) and she felt good about the experience.”
Teagan is a member of the Mohawk Valley Wrestling Club that took several members to the tournament.
